Performance Analysis of an Improved MMSEMulti - user Receiver for Mismatched Delay

چکیده
| Motivated by the fact that time delays in a practical Direct-Sequence Code-Division Multiple-Access system can never be perfectly estimated, an improved Minimum-Mean Squared-Error (MMSE) based receiver is proposed and analyzed. Via the simple assumption of a probability distribution for the delay estimation errors, the proposed receiver can achieve performance superior to that of the conventional MMSE receiver. The performances of this improved receiver and the conventional MMSE receiver are compared in terms of mean squared error, probability of error, and asymptotic multiuser eeciency (AME). As the original deenition of AME does not consider mismatched channels, the behavior of three single-user receivers bearing imperfect delay estimation is also investigated. These single user receivers are employed to deene a more appropriate AME. Finally, an eecient update mechanism to accommodate dynamic channel statistics, and thus practical implementation, is proposed.

Covariance Analysis of a vector tracking GPS receiver based on MMSE multiuser Detection
In high dynamic conditions, using vector tracking loops instead of scalar tracking loops in GPS receivers is proved as an efficient method to compensate the performance. The Minimum Mean Squared Error detector as a multiuser detector is applied in the vector tracking loop for more reliability and efficiency. متن کاملModelling and Compensation of uncertain time-delays in networked control systems with plant uncertainty using an Improved RMPC Method
Control systems with digital communication between sensors, controllers and actuators are called as Networked Control Systems (NCSs). In general, NCSs encounter with some problems such as packet dropouts and network induced delays. When plant uncertainty is added to the aforementioned problems, the design of the robust controller that is able to guarantee the stability, becomes more complex. In...
متن کاملThe regional estimates of the GPS satellite and receiver differential code biases
The Differential Code Biases (DCB), which are also termed hardware delay biases, are the frequency-dependent time delays of the satellite and receiver. Possible sources of these delays are antennas and cables, as well as different filters used in receivers and satellites. These instrumental delays affect both code and carrier measurements. These biases for satellites and some IGS stations tend ...

Early work on the design of multiuser receivers for Direct-Sequence Code-Division Multiple-Access signals often assumed that any necessary communication parameters were completely known. Motivated by the fact that communication parameters in a practical system need to be estimated, the eeects of parameter mismatch on the performance of Minimum-Mean Squared-Error (MMSE) based multiuser receivers...

This paper evaluates the performance of a multi-user MIMO detector for various channel models. An implementation of the COST 259 channel model is used in comparison to a simple stochastic tapped delay line model. The performance of the receiver using the various channel models is shown for varying number of users and varying antenna spacings. The receiver has no knowledge about the detailed aut...
